Riad la Famille, a Cozy Riad in the Medina of Marrakech

Here we are letting you know one of our favorite riads in Marrakesh, Riad la Famille.
Just as its name says, this riad is run by a family in Marrakech.
You will feel like you're invited to a true Moroccan family's house!

Lobby of the riad
Something typical about this riad is, the small fountain in the middle of the lobby. It seems the owner likes this white and red color combination.

Entrance
The entrance of the riad. Just like other riads in Marrakech, no sign, no specific indicantions, it's just like someone's home.

Welcome tea
Right after you arrive in the riad, you will be welcomed with tea and cookies. This is my favorite, fekkas (biscotti) ! You should try this at least once in Morocco.

Red twin room
This is a red room, since this riad has just opened in the recent years, the walls and floors seem still new.

Bathroom
Big bathroom with bathtub, which is unusual for this type of small riad.

Riad la Famille, Upper floor
Upper floor
Go up the stairs, then you'll get to the upper floor. It still seems like a typical house in Morocco.

Room with blue color
This is another twin room, painted with blue color. Each room has its own taste.

Bathroom of the blue room
Here also the bathroom is very unique. I've never seen a riad's bath with such a pillar! It also has a bathtub, and the ceramic sink is very beautiful.

Shower room
Another example of a unique bathroom. Look at the shape of this shower room! Colorful sunshine is coming in through the colored-glass window.

Rooftop terrace
Rooftop terrace
When you come to a riad, you should go up to the rooftop. They'll have a nice cozy terrace, you can spend a day as much as you want with  a hot tea.

So many riads in Marrakech, maybe 1,000 or more. But if this will be the riad you're looking for, please let us know!

Rabat, Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Tour Hassan, the Legacy of the Kings!

Rabat is the capital of Morocco but not so many tourists stop by.
I certainly recommend you spend some time here.
Traditional buildings, modern and quiet atmosphere, you'll love this place!

Mausoleum of Mohammed V

Mausoleum of the former Moroccan King, Mohammed V. Much bigger than any other mausoleums of the country. You will be able to learn what the king means for modern Moroccan people by visiting this place.

The entrance

The guards of the mausoleum wear traditional uniforms. It's just like a part of the scenery.

The coffin of the king

The coffin chamber can be seen from the upstairs. Locals visit here to admire the former king. You'll be impressed just by standing here.

Tour Hassan

Next to the mausoleum is a huge tour, "Tour Hassan." The construction started in the 12th century to build the biggest mosque in the world. It stopped when the sultan died and this has never been completed. Still, the tower is 44 meters high.

The river runs through the city

The river in the town is an ideal place to walk in the evening. And so romantic at night. Very different from busy medina streets in Marrakech or Fez.

Hotel Rabat

This is the lobby of Hotel Rabat, located right in the center of the city. This oval shape lounge is very popular among professional photographers.

Let's visit Rabat with us!

Riad Altair in Marrakech, Evertyhing is Just Beautiful!

Here I'm letting you know one of MY favorite riads in Marrakech.
There are so many riads in the town and I've visited many of them.
This place somehow makes me feel like "Yes, this is the riad in Marrakech!!"

This place is not far from the parking place near Bab Doukkara, but as always :-) hard to find the entrance. Better ask a local to find the way.
Once you get there, it'll be easy for the second time.

The courtyard with a lot of green is something typical with this riad.
Fountain, rose petals, and of course, candles at night.

Room is not so big just like other riads. But it is well organized and looks authentic including traditional Moroccan carpets.

Some people say they like this quiet neighborhood. Just go straight to get to Jemaa el Fna.

This is the most beautiful breakfast I've ever seen in my life.
This could change your life. Really :-)

Dar Anebar in Fez, Dreams Come True Riad!

Here we're showing you one of our favorite riads in Fez, Dar Anebar.
It locates just behind the Hotel Palais Jamai, rather easy to find, and close to the center of the medina.
Let's find it out together!

The first thing you'd say is just "Wow!" The courtyard of Dar Anebar is very traditional and beautiful.
You can feel that now you're right in the middle of medina.

This is the entrance of Hotel Palais Jamai, near Bab Jamai. You can get here by taxi and go through the courtyard of Jamai to get to the small streets in the medina.

The streets to Dar Anebar are very narrow, quite typical in the Fez medina.

Just like other riads, rooms are kind of small. This is also a tradition of old Islamic architecture.

Entrance hall of the annex. Very sophisticated. And Wifi is well provided everywhere!

Dar Anebar is also famous with its meals, a professional cook prepare authentic Moroccan cuisine. This is Pastila, a pie with pigeon meat, local specialty of Fez. Interesting part of this meat pie is, it's very sweet!

Breakfast is also quite beautiful ...

Kasbah Ait Ben Damiette in Skoura, Beautiful Experiences

You can find a lot of nice kasbah hotels in Morocco.
But this Kasbah Ait Ben Damiette is not only beautiful as a hotel, you can see how the owners make this place special, and you'll certainly feel it's hard to leave here just after a short stay.
Let's get into the fascinating world in the middle of the green oasis!

The facade of the Kasbah Ait Ben Damiette is like a small castle in an European countryside. From here, you're already in the dream world.

Ground floor for restaurant and cafe. Warm lights are so beautiful. Their kitchen is right next to this place and when you smell your dinner getting ready, somehow feel like home.

Rooms are also like medieval. Rather big for 2 people, each room has a cozy sofa.

Meatball tajine with rice. Very well refined taste, it reminds you the owners are French!

Beautiful scenery from the roof top. Mountains with snow are far over there. It's like the world is yours, you're a prince or princess in the countryside. This kasbah hotel will sure give you dream days.
